Thousands of moms raising LGBTQ+ kids face isolation, fear, and misinformation-especially in hostile political climates. Increased anti-LGBTQ+ laws and rhetoric are isolating moms raising LGBTQ+ kids. Many don't know where to turn for support, leaving youthat risk for higher rates of suicide and depression. We must reach these moms where they are at. Politically, Geographically. Spiritually. Connecting moms to an affirming community saves lives.
We help moms of LGBTQ+ youth move from isolation to empowerment. Through outreach, connection with other mothers who have been on the same journey and quality education, we support moms in becoming affirming, informed advocates-helping them protect and celebrate their children. We provide online learning and group support so that moms in even the most underresourced spaces can access a supporting community where they can ask the questions they might not be able to anywhere else.
Affirming parents are one of the strongest protective factors for LGBTQ+ youth-reducing suicide risk by up to 50% and improving mental health and well-being. Long-term, this project will help thousands of mothers become empowered advocates, building a ripple effect of safer families, stronger communities, and public advocacy that changes hearts, minds, and policies nationwide. Each mom we reach not only supports her child but helps transform the environment for LGBTQ+ youth across the country.
