Dear supporters,
We’ve made it! Thanks to your support, we managed to distribute nutritious food packages to 70 families! For a whole month, all of the young moms your support reached, will not have to worry about the sustenance of their children. And not only that – they also received valuable advice on how to prepare wholesome meals with the products we distributed – which is something that has the potential to last way beyond this coming month.
We made sure that the food packages we hand out are both nutritious and consist of items that are not too costly, with the aim to encourage healthy habits in the families that they can afford to maintain. Following advice from renowned early childhood nutrition experts, we reached for a balance between grains, pulses, dairy and meat, while also, of course, keeping in mind cultural/religious food restrictions observed by some of the families.
The picture you see above is my favourite one from the whole food campaign – this little angel, the second after receiving the foods, decided she wanted to gift me one of her purees with a big smile on her face. At the age of only one and a half, she already has a knack for giving back – very much following your example!
We appreciate your continuous support and hope you continue to trust us, so that we can extend a helping hand to more families in need. Thank you for putting smiles on so many faces like this precious one!
