Imagine you're 16. One day, everything you rely on - your home, school, friends - is shattered by the war. Now imagine someone believes in your future. Someone gives you space to feel safe again, to dream again. This is what your support for "Spilnota" makes possible. For 600 Ukrainian youth, you can be the reason they start rebuilding - with courage, with community, and with hope.
Ukrainian teenagers and young adults affected by Russian war - including orphans, children deprived of parental care, individuals internally displaced because of the war, including those from vulnerable categories - face deep psychological trauma, lack stable adult support and stable home, as well as have limited access to good quality education and/or meaningful life guidance. According to UNICEF, 49% need psychosocial support, only 28% receive it.
"Spilnota" program by Ridni Foundation is a unique project that offers young people a safe environment and opportunities for development. They join a community of peers, mentors, and educators who don't just teach - they listen, empower, and walk alongside them. "At first, I didn't believe anything could change," shared Ksenia, who is 15. "But Spilnota felt warm and welcoming - like coming home to people who actually care." Spilnota helps build a future with purpose and support.
"Spilnota" restores belief. Youth leave not only with knowledge, but with confidence, direction, and a renewed sense of belonging. They become changemakers - resilient, informed, and ready to contribute to their communities. The program reduces the risks of depression, addiction, and social isolation, while fostering emotional well-being and adaptability. Most importantly, it builds a strong, supportive community that continues to uplift and guide participants long after the program ends.
