Thank you for your continued support for people displaced by the war in Ukraine. Your generosity helps provide care, connection, and a sense of stability for individuals and families who have been forced to leave their homes and communities behind.
AWB Netherlands continues to provide trauma-informed care for Ukrainian refugees and other displaced populations. What began as a small initiative has grown into a network of 10 active clinic sites across the Netherlands, supported by dozens of trained volunteers.
An important part of this growth has been AWB Netherlands' relationship with COA, the Dutch government agency responsible for the reception and support of people seeking asylum. Through this collaboration, AWB Netherlands has been able to establish and maintain clinics where people can receive care for stress, anxiety, physical pain, and the emotional effects of displacement.
AWB Netherlands has also reached an important milestone: it is now officially registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) as Acupuncturists Without Borders in Nederland. This recognition creates additional opportunities to seek funding and support the continuation of its work.
In Greece, Alma Community Therapies continues to provide welcoming spaces for Ukrainian refugees and other displaced populations. Through support groups, movement, self-care, writing, and opportunities for community connection, participants have a place to care for themselves, connect with others, and rebuild a sense of belonging.
While new clinics and organizational milestones are important, so is the continued presence of these programs. For people who have experienced displacement and uncertainty, knowing that care remains available can make a meaningful difference. Healing does not follow a fixed timeline, and the need for support does not end when the immediate crisis has passed.
Your generosity helps make this ongoing work possible. It supports the practitioners and volunteers who continue to show up, the clinics that remain open, and the communities that rely on these services.
Thank you to each and every one of you for your continued support of those in need!
