We are deeply grateful for your continued generosity and commitment to our project, Help Ugandan People Donate Life-Saving Blood. Because of your support, countless children and mothers facing life-threatening anaemia have received the blood and care they urgently needed.
Uganda continues to face a significant demand for safe blood, particularly for children suffering from severe anaemia, sickle cell disease, malaria-related complications, and mothers experiencing childbirth emergencies. Through your donations, we have been able to support ongoing blood mobilization efforts and strengthen access to this life-saving resource.
Every week, we work alongside the regional blood bank to conduct blood donation drives in schools, communities, churches, and other public gathering places. These outreach campaigns are helping to increase blood availability and ensure that patients in critical condition can receive timely treatment.
One of the greatest achievements supported by this project is our free Sickle Cell Clinic, which has now served the community successfully for more than three years. The clinic provides care and hope to children living with sickle cell disease, many of whom require regular blood transfusions to survive. Families who once struggled to access essential treatment now have a dependable source of support and care.
The impact of your generosity is evident every day. During the last three months alone, more than 500 children in our paediatric unit received blood transfusions. Many of these young patients were referred from other health facilities with severe anaemia and required urgent intervention. Through the availability of blood and the support services made possible by this project, hundreds of lives have been saved and many families have been given renewed hope.
Behind every statistic is a child returning home to their family, a mother recovering safely after childbirth, and a future made possible through the kindness of people like you. Your contribution is more than a donation—it is a lifeline for those facing some of the most critical medical challenges in our region.
As we continue this mission, the need remains great. Demand for blood transfusions continues to rise, and many vulnerable patients still depend on our services. With your partnership, we can continue expanding blood donation campaigns, supporting the sickle cell clinic, and ensuring that no child or mother is denied life-saving care because blood is unavailable.
Thank you for standing with us in this mission of saving lives. Your compassion and generosity are making a lasting impact across Eastern Uganda and throughout the country.
