How do we know whether our work is making a difference? This is a question not only our donors ask, but one we ask ourselves as well. That is why we monitor the project closely from the very beginning through a comprehensive tracking and evaluation system.
Every month, children's groups, parent committees, school management committees, and other community stakeholders come together to discuss progress, challenges, and future activities. These meetings are carefully documented through attendance records, meeting notes, and photographs, allowing us to track developments throughout the life of the project.
At each of our ten activity centers, important information is recorded on a daily basis: Which activities took place? How many children participated? What topics were discussed? What feedback was shared? This ongoing documentation provides valuable insight into how the project is being received and embraced by the communities we serve.
In addition, our team regularly collects data on school enrollment, participation in trainings and community events, follow-up activities, and other support services. This information is entered into a digital Management Information System (MIS), helping us monitor progress, identify emerging needs, and make informed decisions.
But numbers alone do not tell the whole story. That is why we also document personal experiences and individual journeys of change. Through case studies, children and families share their challenges, achievements, and hopes for the future. These stories are complemented by observations gathered during home visits, school visits, and conversations with children, parents, teachers, and community members.
Together, this information creates a comprehensive picture of the project's impact—combining data, evidence, and the real-life stories of people whose lives are changing step by step.
