On September 27, 2012 a camp for screening Diabetic and Cataract patients was held at Chapadaha a remote rural village under Gaibandha Sadar Upo-Zila, which is about 25 km from Gaibandha town. Before holding the camp, wide publicity was given so that more and more people attend the camp.
An Awareness campaign on Diabetic as well as on Eye Care was also held at the the site before starting diabetic and eye tests. Speakers consisted of Diabetic Specialists, Eye Specialists and Prominent Social Workers. About 3000 people attended the Program.
Among those who attended the camp, 45 were detected having diabetes. These patients attended our hospital on September 29, 2012. Necessary tests were conducted, Guide Books given and Diabetes Awareness lessons were also given to them.
