Promoting the Welfare of Dogs in Rural South Africa
Although there were no activities to report during this period, the welfare of dogs in our rural communities remains an important concern. Many families in rural areas love and care for their dogs, but access to veterinary services, vaccinations, sterilisation and basic animal-care information can be limited.
Our project aims to support responsible dog ownership and improve the health and wellbeing of dogs in the communities where we work. When resources and opportunities become available, we hope to continue activities such as providing basic veterinary care, promoting vaccinations and sterilisation, and educating families about responsible pet ownership.
We look forward to being able to resume activities and make a positive difference to the welfare of dogs in our rural communities.
