Project Report | Sep 28, 2022
Help to refugee families in Ukraine

By Valeria Granovskaya | Project leader

Dear Supporters
Dear GlobalGiving team

On February 24, 2022, as the reaction to the full-scale war on the territory of Ukraine, we organized the “Ukraine War Help Center” to provide the necessary emergency assistance to people affected by the war.

Millions of Ukrainians left their homes due to active hostilities, bombing or occupation in search of safety and protection. Among them mothers with children, pregnant women, large families, people with special needs who are the most unprotected and they all need special attention and care. Being the most vulnerable they have become the target audience of our aid projects. Most of them live in shelters and refugee centers all over Ukraine. Today they are forced to rely on the help of those who care as they are currently unable to take care of themselves, their families, and their children.

As of today (starting from 24.02.22 and until 24.09.22), we managed to implement 80 aid projects for internally displaced people throughout the country responding to the most urgent requests and focusing on individual needs. Within our war help center project we have spent around 150 000 USD and with your help we are going double that amount until the end of the year. That’s why we need your support. Among recipients there are young families, children up to 16 years, burthmothers, babies and people with special needs. Also we managed to make 8 aid projects to hospitals and a volunteering “road of life” which brought vitally important medicines to citizens of occupied Kherson and its regional cities and villages. Please check one of those trip news: https://centersocial.org/medikamenti-dlya-zhiteliv-hersonshhini-26-200-grn/  (We supply medical stuff and medicating from Nikolayev to occupied Kherson with the help of our volunteering car - that was a dangerous trips unless they were possible).

The result of the implementation of these aid projects is the provision of critically important and vitally necessary assistance to more than 35,000 people (mostly women and children) in the form of food supplies, medicines, diapers, baby nutrition, hygiene products, household chemicals, household appliances and other items of the prime necessity.

All of this makes it possible to organize and provide relatively comfortable living for displaced families in refugee centers, as well as to provide the basic needs of people affected by the war. Among basic needs we are constantly providing special treatment and individual medical sets.

Due to the fact that the war on the territory of Ukraine continues, the number of people who are in critical need of help, unfortunately, does not decrease. Since winter is approaching, the problem of heating the premises arises, which is not only a matter of comfort, but also of health, well-being and life in general.

So we do not stop our work for a single day. Now in the sight of our focus not only needs mentioned above but also heaters, coal for ovens, sleeping bags, warming rooms renovations where pislaced families live, medical and food banks and etc.

Unfortunately, this report cannot contain all news and photos, so we just attached some of them here as examples of our routine. In average every week 3 – 4 refugees camps receive supply from us.

We want to express our gratitude to all donors who are constantly supporting us and Ukraine as well. All this would be impossible without your impact.
