We are so very grateful for the support you have been able to provide to Tibetans in need of urgent medical care. In some cases, the connection with medical services comes too late in the illness and can only provide the patient some relief in knowing their prognosis or assistance to ease suffering. But when the connection is made in time, it can set the course for life-saving interventions and a return to wellness. Since we launched this project a year ago, we have seen both kinds of outcomes.
Now we have another opportunity to reach into Tibet with urgently needed assistance! An elderly Tibetan woman who is the sole caregiver for her disabled brother has been diagnosed with a cerebral blood clot. For some time she was able to walk, but she is now bedridden with new pain, and both brother and sister are in a really difficult situation. The medical diagnosis and the compassionate care this project has supported must now be augmented with new medicines. Because of caring people like you, we will be able to rush additional funds to meet that need.
But we must tell you that we have had to scrape the bottom of the barrel, and once those funds are sent to Tibet, we will not be able to help other Tibetans in need of urgent medical interventions. We know from your past generosity that you believe in this project and the possibility of life-giving support it provides!
