It is a pleasure to update Bridge Fund supporters about our work with Tibetan communities in China! We are so grateful for your generosity and can happily report that those Tibetans who have received urgent medical care through this project are living in more comfort at home with ease and good care.
Unfortunately, a slowdown in project funding, and difficulties due to COVID-related lockdown measures and movement restrictions in China, have caused what we all hope will be a temporary pause in our ability to reach additional Tibetans with support for their urgent care needs. Although there has not been an explosion of COVID cases in Tibetan areas, Chinese authorities and health experts agree that health resources are too inequitable across regions for the country to risk opening up.
As we watch for logistics to improve in China, we ask that you help us with another donation so that the seriously ill Tibetans who we can potentially assist need not wait any longer than necessary.
