Much is happening at the Tezu Dargeyling Tibetan Settlement: we are thrilled to share with you that the noodle making machine and school generator have been fully funded! Thanks to generous supporters on the GlobalGiving platform and other donors, the community was able to purchase both the noodle machine and the generator for their school.
Tezu is a very remote community, and thus delivering large equipment through dense jungles, several days journey from the nearest town, is no easy task. The generator is currently on its way to the settlement and should arrive and be turned on within a couple of weeks. The noodle machine has been successfully delivered, and installation has begun. Setting up the machine and factory room will take several weeks, so the community is expecting that the business will be up and running by mid-October.
Once the noodle machine and generator are installed, we will share an update with you on how things are going. In the meantime, please enjoy these photos showing the new machine and the factory location, and some bonus pictures of recent events at the primary and middle school. Thank you for bringing power to the school and noodles to the families of Tezu!
