With the "laying of the first stone" work began on the new nursery school of Eggi (near Spoleto). This is a completely anti-seismic structure, which will be implemented by the Francesca Rava Foundation - NPH Italia Onlus, with latest generation materials and technologies and equipped with energy heating systems with reduced environmental impact. Eggi will then return to host the nursery students, currently housed in a building owned by the Curia in San Giacomo di Spoleto, after the declaration of unavailability of November 2016 following the seismic events that hit Central Italy.
The new anti-seismic modules will host a secretarial office, two classes (each of 41 sqm), a common room (64 sqm), a dressing room, a kitchenette and various services. The first works started on January 29th concern the excavation, the preparation of the surfaces and the necessary connections that will be followed by the on-site assembly operations of the modules. The duration of the interventions, weather conditions permitting, is estimated in five weeks for the foundation works and 65 days for the construction of the building. The value of the assets that will be donated to the Municipality of Spoleto is estimated at 260 thousand euros. To these must be added another 120 thousand euros of work, necessary for the urbanization and connection works and for the use of specific technical skills required, the costs of which will be borne by the Municipality.
The Francesca Rava Foundation is following the project of Eggi, and at the same time also that of a kindergarten in Pieve Torina in the province of Macerata. The laying of the first stone for this school is planned in the month of March.
Thank you for your support for both projects.
