The Children's EcoCamp will be re-launched later. Due to the latent effects of Covid we have decided to rather relaunch our Youth educational projects at a later date.
It is significant that environmental education should reach as many youths as possible, as they are the leaders of tomorrow. Our beautiful country has so much still left to protect and even areas already damaged can be rehabilitated. Opportunities are endless but education is the key.
In the environs of the Isimangaliso Wetland Park, thousands of young people live in rural villages not far from Lake St. Lucia, These children have a very special responsibility to protect the area and this should be through better understanding and participation, and enjoyment of the magnificent lake. Sustainable use of fishing is essential, Protection of the unique sand forest is important or it would be all lost for future generations. The unique biodiversity is found nowhere else in the world. We believe that our efforts will help ensure that youth are prepared to participate in protecting their birthright.
Thank you for also caring!
