It's always wonderful to hear from a former student! This letter is from a young woman who attended primary and secondary school at the K4AK project in Afghanistan. We have crossed out her name for her safety - and the safety of our students - because some organizations in Afghanistan still forcefully oppose the idea of education for girls.
The education your donation provided her not only made her dream come true, it will help her address the serious problem of maternal and infant mortality in rural Afghanistan.
On behalf of everyone from KAK - Thank You!Hi !My name is xxxxxxxxx. I was born in Ankhi village of Saidabad district in Wardak province a remote area, there was no health center and we didn't have a school. our people had a lot of problems. As people in the village became ill, they are died on the way. We are lost so many members of our family in this way that I am disappointed . But today I am a midwife and I serve the people. I work in a hospital here in Kabul and I go to my village three times a month and help the women and give them free health advice. I don't want other children to lose their mothers or mother lose their children’s . I am very grateful to Jamaluddin Wardak's family and miss khris for providing us with such facilities. They built us a health center , school and They are now working on a hospital. I did my primary education in the same school and I have reached this place today. Thank you very much. May God bless you.
