The Project HOPE team in India has been busy kicking off a series of trainings for government officials and community health care workers on the prevention of diabetes and NCDs. With generous support from Eli Lilly, donors like you, and our partners the Population Services International (PSI) and the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), the first training session was a big success, showing a 91% improvement in knowledge among participants from pre and post-test surveys.
The trainings are designed to be dynamic and interactive, providing regular follow-up with participants to help them apply the skills learned into daily practice. These trainings are the first step in increasing access to screenings for NCDs in India through training and mobilizing community health care workers as well as and implementing new diagnostic and management guidelines. Thanks to your support, more people in India will have access to preventive health care and a strengthened ability to take control of their own health and wellbeing.
