Thank you for your support! We are happy to share an update that we recently received from foster mother Shurong Wang about a recent family outing. Enjoy!
Our welfare institution arranged a special trip into town for Special Families parents and children to see an acrobatic show. Everyone was excited. It was a big outing for us!
The show was fantastic. The children were bewildered as they watched the acrobats perform all their impressive feats and our time in the neighborhood close to the theatre was just as much fun!
The area was very quaint, with many different stores and lots of colorful decorations. The children ran in all directions, looking into stores. There was a wine shop, a shop with rare furnishings, and a vegetable stand that especially grabbed their interest.
Qiufen caught sight of a large golden pumpkin and ran over to hug it and wouldn’t let go.
Then Tianhua found a big green watermelon in a basket. She carried it to me and exclaimed, “Look, mummy! It’s a big watermelon!”
I kept reminding them to be ‘nice’ to the vegetables, so they wouldn’t break.
Daddy and Bohua took advantage of this moment to sit down for a break because Bohua’s legs are weaker and he was tired from all the walking. They looked very happy leaning against one another.
But all of a sudden, before I could stop her, Qiufen took an eggplant and bit into it. I cried out, “Qiufen, no, you can’t eat it!” Qiufen looked at me and started laughing. We couldn’t help it, we all laughed too. It was a wonderful outing!
