Donations have started arriving this month to help sponsor an adult with a disability to attend TVW work training and paid work programs. Thank you to our supporters.
December was a record breaking month at the TVW headquarters in Hillsboro, Oregon. The clients were very busy packing cake mixes, shrink wrapping pickles for delivery to Costco, packaging artists gifts sets, assembling hangtags for garments, removing stickers from pacemaker packages, and many more tasks. Everyone stayed very busy in the production department, even working overtime. Santa arrived bearing 82 Navy Blue TVW Tee shirts on December 17th to a very excited group.
TVW is launching a new program at the production center. The clients will be making handmade greeting cards out of junk mail for resale. The beautiful cards are embedded with wildflower seeds and after the card is used, it can be planted with a light layer of potting soil and will grow flowers. The card composts will compost in the soil. This is a truly sustainable project. Check back on the website www.tv-workshop.com in the early spring to purchase some.
