Recently, TVW partnered with Good 360 and through Good 360, became a partner of Synopsys. Synopsys donated 10 refurbished computers to TVW and the technolgy training center was launched. A program was purchased for TVW's clients with disabilities where each individual is tracked and put on program designed especially for them. The technology center supports TVW's tag line, "creating possibilites for people with disabilites". Clients are working at their own pace and some are using the tool to obtain their GED's. TVW is trying to obtain more computers to expand the program and offer it to more individuals wit disabilities.
Another recent partnership began with the local Home Depot through their program for employees, Team Depot. Team Depot volunteers came to TVW and supplied paint, materials, supplies, and labor for two days to tear out the old lunchroom walls. TVW raised funding for 100 new lunchroom chairs and the project turned out great. Home Depot also donated additional supplies and paint for TVW to continue the renovation in the common areas and the production room. This project was completed by local volunteers, clients with disabilites and TVW staff.
It has been the season for partnerships and TVW also partnered with Guess clothing. Guess donated 5 large boxes of new merchandise which was distributed to TVW clients. The partnership is ongoing.
