Recent events have led to TVW starting a new fundraising campaign for a lunchroom remodel and new chairs. United Airlines has pledged $600.00 to the project and along with a Christmas wreath fundraiser and small silent auction TVW has been able to raise enough funding for 66 chairs with 100 being the goal. The local Team Depot (Home Depot) has volunteered to renovate and reapint the lunchroom for TVW's clients with disabilites. Nike has donated some lunchroom tables and other office furniture as as result of the project. Several small grants have been written and are awaiting an answer. The final phase of the remodel will be to purchase a flat screen TV and industrial strength microwaves for the client lunchroom.
The need still remains for scholarships for people with disabilites to attend TVW, thank you to all who have supported the project.
