Recently, it was announced by the State of Oregon that funding cuts for programs for adults with disabilities will not be cut as much as the 10% that was originally proposed. The funding cuts will be 3%. This is especially wonderful news for ACCESS and Vanguard, TVW's two community inclusion programs, which were facing closure.
TVW production and Janitorial had a record breaking year and will help to fund some of the budget cuts.
TVW recently had a golf fundraiser and raised about 22K, which was also record breaking.
Next up for TVW is an Open House and silent auction. Proceeds will be used along with a grant from Clipped wings, to remodel the client lunchroom and purchase new sturdy plastic chairs.
