Project Report | Jun 30, 2014
Final report

By Leila Ismailova | Leila Ismailova

St. Petersburg public charity organization for disabled children and adults “Shag navstrechu” would like to thank every donor who helped us buy all the necessary equipment. Thanks to you our children now have everything to get knowledge.

On the funds raised with the help of the project we bought materials essential for children to learn and train the skills which will bring them closer to a possibility of independent life. We purchased additional batch of materials for study guides, the carpet, wood plank and the rest of the necessary equipment needed for production of teaching editions. We also solved the problem of transportation to schools. Now all the children have necessary transport, which allows them to attend the school. Drinking water in dispensers was bought, upholstered benches for children’s checkroom were purchased. Employees of organization and teachers of a boarding school n.16 developed a flannelgraph for kids with special needs (flannelgragh – graphic study guide, a desk, covered with flannel, on which cut figures and forms are fixed) and concomitant graphic teaching materials on different subjects.

We try to keep an eye on study process, cooperating with specialists and teachers of every school. Sep 2014 our children will attend a new school, with which “Shag navstrechu” communicates in order to know if the school has everything needed for qualified education of disabled children.
