Dear Donors and the Global Giving Nepal Relief Fund,
After hearing about another large earthquake in Nepal, our fundraising efforts for Mountain View Eco Farm will now extend to the lives of people affected by the earthquake beyond our partner program. Govinda and all there at Mountain View Eco Farm are OK but it was very frightening and they are staying away from any structures that are integrally destroyed.
We are not an "aid" organization but work with our partners to find sustainable solutions to community challenges but with a partner like Mountain View Eco Farm. we will stand by and their neighbors to rebuild. We also know that they will be paying it forward to help others and to continue their mission, to train resource-poor farmers and youth to use organic farming techniques.
We are throwing a fundraising event in Seattle on May 16 organized by Village Volunteers, alumni volunteer Hillary Shemanski, and with special host Alex Myers from the popular show Treehouse Masters. There will be Nepalese food catered by the Himalayan Sherpa House, music, beer, wine and a silent auction with great items generously donated. Your tax-deductible donation through Global Giving and our event will be used wisely and with great care to multiply the benefits.
Thank you from our friends in Nepal!
