The preventive and curative health care support is provided to the remote patients in the Osmanabad and Latur district through our three fully equipped Mobile Medical Units. By reaching the unreached even during this crisis, the MMU provided the beneficiaries with doorstep medical care and treatment. These mobile medical units have gone beyond their regular services by screening and testing patients and migrants returning to their village and also by sensitizing the local communities about COVID-19 prevention.
17233 patients benefitted through the special fever OPD unit in Mobile Medical Units.
4696 patients benefitted through the 12 non-communicable diseases medical camp conducted in 24 villages.
Through these services, the medical team also simultaneously interacts and sensitizes the villagers on topics like hygiene and care, the importance of a proper balance diet, care during pregnancy, care for non-communicable diseases. This support has helped vulnerable people especially older people, pregnant mothers, adolescent girls, children, and people with pre-existing medical conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease). It has also empowered the community to take conscious efforts to reduce the spread of the virus.
