The condition is aggravated by children’s lack of access to school, friends, teachers, social workers and the safe space and services that schools provide. In particular, the children with special needs, our students of the Special Care Centre. These Children are restricted to their homes, with many of them reporting a loss of livelihood with respect to their family's sole earner.
In this hard time, 75% of HI students have achieved the academic and SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) goals. Due to the current pandemic situation activities are conducted online for children. Activities such as fabric painting, storytelling and festive celebrations like Diwali and Christmas party were also conducted online. Also for parents we had conducted a stress management workshop which can help parents to deal with children in hard times.
As the pandemic situation got better we had conducted gardening and bottle decoration activities for HI and ID students at our campus, in BKC and Unique disability card camp was also organized in school for students which was equally important for these children.
We would like to urge you to support these children, with your help we aim to provide education and nutrition support to these children and their family, so that they may sustain themselves and remain healthy, during the pandemic.
