Dear Friend
Save The Children India’s Special Care Centre annually reaches out to 250 children who are hearing and speech impaired and intellectually challenged. Most of the students attending Special Care Canter are residing in slums and and parents are labourers and daily wage earners. The education of special child is often neglected by the families especially those from poor socio-economic background. The school offers transportation facility, breakfast and afternoon lunch and educational support to children to ensure that they complete schooling and lead life of dignity and independence.
The organization is constantly struggling to provide the best facilities including food on campus that includes milk with nutritional mix and biscuits for breakfast and vegetable, Rice fruits and Salad for Lunch etc. however the constantly growing cost of grain, groceries, vegetables, fruits etc. poses a challenge to meet nutritional needs of 250 growing children.
The donations made by you for proving nutritious meal is a great support to the family and the child as for most of the children it is the only wholesome meal they may have during the day. It’s a food that makes them active and energetic in everything that they do, study, sports and extracurricular.
We, the team from Save The Children India are Thankful for your kind gesture because of which we were able to provide nearly 750 meals to children attending Special Care Centre.
