Supporting Covid-19 warriors

By VASUDEVA SHARMA | Executive Director, CRT

Dear supporters,

Namasthe.

The world has gone off the track! So are we. Covid-19 is ruling the roost.

Our training plans for the last quarter was abandoned as and when the reports about Coronavirus started coming in. When we were home bound for the first two weeks we were wondering about what will be our role in the pandemic situation. Soon we found our role in terms of providing information and educaiton to the NGO friends who are on the ground with the communities.

CRT developed several reading material - translated a few books on coronavirus awareness for children, while adopting them to Indian set up, prepared posters and pamphlets and a snakes and ladders game on the issue and also a few animated drama on the issue.

We could also conduct a few webinars and telephone conference call based trainings with the field workers from various NGOs to understand their situation and the challenges they are facing on the ground.

Although we could not take up field based trainings and programmes we have contentment of supporting hundreds of field teams with information and encouragement.

We will soon be able to take up our capacity building activities in the coming (post lockdown) period with a different approach.

Thanks to your continued support.
