The God's Littlest Angels Team is in the midst of fighting to keep the all of the GLA Kids and staff safe as Hurricane Matthew rips through Haiti. This storm is already leaving death and destruction throughout Haiti and we'll most likely be receiving more children who have lost family members to this storm and have nowhere else to go.
That said, we've sustained damage to parts of our Main House, which is also the location of our well-known NICU; as well as our Toddler House. We will not only need funding but workers to come and assist us in getting these facilities up and running again as quicky as possible, especially with the potential influx of additional children and families in need of shelter and medical care.
There was about a 30min lull in the storm around 3pm on October 4th, so the portion of our GLA Team up at Fort Jacques took the opportunity to walk through the campus quickly in order to check on one another, assess damage and begin making a plan for follow-on operations. The power of this storm is staggering and we're once again thanking the Lord for the shelter we've been able to give these children thus far.
Please continue to join us in prayer for all of our Haitian brothers and sisters who continue to fight their way through this storm.
