Dear Donors:
After lots of hard work, we held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for this project on January 22 2013. The Finnish Ambassador and the Deputy Ambassador of the United States both attended. The event was punctuated by the dramatic arrival of the Deputy U.S. Ambassador's motorcade, girls performing a traditional Luya dance to welcome the visitors, a tour of the project and the presentation of a necklace and set of earrings made up of reused magazine pages to the Finnish Ambassador, Sophie From-Emmesberger by members of the KHDP Women's Goup.
There's still a lot more work to do - we want to build a filtration system for the effluent from the biodigester, complete construction of the upper floor meeting and eating space, and build a fence around the project to protect it from stray soccer balls. Your continued support is greatly apreciated!
Sincerely,
Constance
