Dear Donors:
We have scheduled the opening of the first phase of this project for Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. The American Ambassador to Kenya, Robert F. Godec, is planning to attend!
We still need to raise funds for phase two, which will entail the completion and outfitting of the upper floor, construction of a filter system to purify the effluent from the biodigester, and the erection of a chain link fence to protect the exterior paint job from flying soccer balls. We also want to add a hygiene education component that will include painting of a mural on the exterior walls to stress the importance of hand washing after using the toilets.
