Dear Donors:
In anticipation of the completion of the first phase of this project, KWENCH has finished the plastering of the biodigester. Plastering ensures that the biodigester dome, where the methane accumulates, is both water and gas-tight. The work had to be done before the commencement of the long rains here in Kenya, because when it rains the biodigester dome, which is underground, can be flooded with groundwater. After a hard day of work on Sunday, the project was finished. Then the rain started!
