Partial Construction of Upper Floor is Complete!

By Constance Hunt | Executive Director

Project as of September 2011
Project as of September 2011

With money from GlobalGiving, we have completed the construction of about a quarter of the upper floor of our Kawangware project. With paint left over from the Safaricom Foundation painting project, we painted the columns Safaricom green! This construction, complete with a heavy door and a strong lock, will prevent anyone from breaking into the project and stealing the stoves. Now we need to raise the money to buy the floor tiles, stoves, kitchen sink and refrigerator and to hire a carpenter to build a work table and cabinets for the kitchen. Thanks again for your support!
