Help Poor Rural Girls in Paraguay go to University

Dear donors,

We are very grateful for your generous support and trust in our work at the Mbaracayú Educational Center. Thanks to your contributions, we have been able to carry out many empowering and inspiring activities that benefit our students and our community. We would like to share some of the activities our former students have been involved in.

The Brotes de Mbaracayu Association, founded by former students of the Mbaracayú School, conducted two workshops on entrepreneurship and empowerment of rural women at the Mbaracayú Educational Center. The workshops were part of the project Kuña Mbarete: empowering rural and indigenous young women through the use of new technologies and training them to be future leaders of their communities. This project is funded by the L’Óreal Foundation and aims to promote the social and economic development of rural women, especially those who are part of the Mbaracayú Biosphere Reserve.

The workshops were attended by more than 30 young women from different communities and schools, who learned about topics such as business planning, marketing, financial management, leadership, and gender equality. The workshops were very dynamic and participatory, and the participants expressed their satisfaction and gratitude for the knowledge and skills they acquired.

These workshops are an example of the amazing work that the Brotes de Mbaracayu Association is doing to empower young women and create positive change in their communities. We are very proud of them and their mentors, who are former students of our school and have become role models for the new generations.
