The beautiful and motivating story of Sirlene and Liz Mancuello Machado
They are young and know that dreams come true through two secrets: persistence and dedication. Sirlene and Liz Mancuello Machado finished their studies in Mbaracayu Education Center (MEC), driven by Fundación Paraguaya. Now they are in the National University of Villarrica with scholarships.
Sirlene always had a hard time studying because of the distance, as they generally lived 50 or more kilometers from the nearest school. "Always going from one school to another. I finished the ninth grade and went to Brazil because my grandmother lived there ... it was a women's college. In Brazil I had to redo the eighth grade and so I lost a year, "she recalls. During the years 2002 and 2005 she left school while waiting for her younger sister to get to the same course, so they would go to school together. The dilemma of distance was always present. That's why instead of ending at 18, she finished her studies at age 21.
When she arrived at EMC, she realized that life was giving her a great opportunity. Since she never gave up, she took the last three school years with her sister, came out best student and was selected to go to college. She chose an engineering career in agribusiness and now her life is only projected to continue growing. For Liz, she chose an engineering degree in animal zootechnics. She says that since she was small she has a very strong call for veterinary, and she chose zootechnics because this career is closely related to her passion. "I always helped my brother who is a veterinarian and I always wanted to be like him, "she says. The two outstanding students left their families to move to Villarrica and face this stage of training. The smile in both faces reflects happiness at being able to touch their dreams with their own hands. Both say that if you do not give up you can conquer all and even more.
