Dear Donors,
We sincerely thank you for your support toward the Help Nigerian Villages with Snakebite Treatment project. Your contribution shows concern for families facing life-threatening snakebites. However, the donations received so far are not enough to begin the planned intervention, and more support is needed.
Earlier this year, a young Nigerian lady and broadcast journalist lost her life because antivenom was not available at the hospital. If such a situation could affect someone with visibility and access, it raises serious concern for people living in rural villages with far fewer resources.
Across communities in Kogi, Benue, and Nasarawa, snakebite victims often lack access to antivenom, trained health workers, and fast transport to medical care. Many rely on unsafe alternatives, and some do not survive the journey to treatment centers.
This project is designed to provide antivenoms to rural clinics, train health workers in emergency care, and support community awareness and transport for quick response.
With the right support, more lives can be saved, and families can avoid the long-term effects of untreated snakebites.
We are grateful for the support already received and remain hopeful that additional contributions will make it possible to begin this life-saving work.
Thank you for your kindness and continued support.
Sincerely,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
