Dear members, friends and supporters of Wadadee cares e.V.
The first half of the year has been full of energy, exciting events and lots of news. The holidays ended recently here in Namibia, but unfortunately the start of the school start did not go as smoothly as expected. The Corona situation is getting more and more serious and very tense through the onset of winter, rising case numbers and a slow vaccination campaign. Some schools are being closed again and another lockdown is being considered by the government. Thanks to the energetic and tireless support of our volunteers on the ground - and of you and from you - we can overcome the difficult situation and help the projects, children and families even more intensively and take in more people in need.
Thanks to YOUR donation to our Female empowerment project in Namibia here on GlobalGiving we were able to already prepare 10 starter packs for 10 women. Out of one starter pack, 50 sanitary pads can be produced. Because of the tense COVID-19 situation in Namibia right now, we had to postpone our final project meeting with the ladies to kick off this project! We can’t wait to finally start this fantastic project as soon as it’s safer again to come together!
* The pictures show the volunteers of Wadadee Cares prepare the starter kits to be handed out to the project participants.
We say THANK YOU & hope you and your families are staying safe in these difficult times.
Cheers from Namibia
Team Wadadee Cares e.V.
