Provide Primary Rehabilitation Therapy Services & Visited by UNO

 Protibandhi Shishu Shiekkha O Paricharja Samity (PROSHIPS) is non-government voluntary organization working with persons with disabilities and other disadvantaged communities in remote and vulnerable areas of Bangladesh. Many families living in the river-basin areas of Jamalpur are regularly affected by seasonal flooding, waterlogging, river erosion, displacement, and loss of livelihoods. Persons with disabilities, women, children, and ultra-poor households face additional challenges in accessing healthcare facilities.

Through support raised on the GlobalGiving Foundation platform, PROSHIPS has been working to strengthen the safety, dignity, health services for highly vulnerable families. The project proposes facilitating proper care of 60 Cerebral Palsy children and will get access to reasonable medical and rehabilitation services such as - Diagnosis, Assessments, Medical treatment, medicine support and provide training for parents and home based therapeutically services once a week for 60 Cerebral Palsy Children who are early age and parents will involve rest of days in week, have great chance to physical recovery.

 On 13 August 2026, PROSHIPS organized a Primary Rehabilitation Therapeutically (PRT) Services Program at PROSHIPS Islampur NDD School in the presence of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), Islampur, Jamalpur, who attended the program as the Chief Guest. During his visit, the UNO visited the PROSHIPS Islampur NDD School, where the students with Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (NDD) warmly welcomed him with flowers. He visited all the classrooms, interacted with the students, and exchanged handshakes with them. The students’ warm welcome and joyful participation created a positive and inspiring atmosphere.

 The  Upazilla Nirbahi Officer (UNO ) expressed his happiness and satisfaction with the initiatives taken by PROSHIPS to provide rehabilitation, therapeutic support, education, and care for children with disabilities. He appreciated the commitment of PROSHIPS to promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment for children with disabilities. The visit was an encouraging moment for the students, teachers, parents, and PROSHIPS team and demonstrated the importance of government–NGO collaboration for inclusive education, rehabilitation, and disability rights.
