Help MDNtv Fight for GBV Survivors’ Justice
By MDNtv Nonprofit Organisation

Behind every gender based violence case is a human being.
In courtrooms across South Africa, survivors sit quietly carrying fear, hope and the belief
that justice might still be possible. They are not statistics. They are mothers, fathers,
teenagers and children who deserve dignity and protection.
Too often their cases unfold in near silence.

Gender based violence remains one of the deepest wounds in our nation. Survivors may
face stigma, intimidation, long delays in the justice system and confusion about legal
procedures. When courtrooms are not covered, families remain uninformed and
communities lose trust in accountability.

Silence can deepen trauma. Visibility can restore dignity.
MDNtv reports directly from gender based violence courts with compassion and care. We
protect identities where required. We avoid sensationalism. We provide accurate reporting
and clear legal explanation so communities understand what justice looks like.
Your support allows us to send trained journalists to GBV courts across provinces, provide
safe transport to hearings, equip our teams with recording tools and engage legal analysts
who explain court processes in accessible language.

Every hearing covered is an act of solidarity. Every report published is a reminder that
justice matters.

Our goal is to educate more than one hundred thousand people through responsible court
reporting. Over time this project will strengthen transparency, empower survivors of all
genders, increase understanding of legal rights and contribute to systemic reform.
Our funding goal is one hundred fifty thousand dollars. Nearly the full amount remains to
be raised.

Behind this goal are real survivors waiting for justice to be seen and treated with
seriousness and respect.
We believe survivors deserve dignity. We believe justice should not unfold in silence. We
believe communities deserve knowledge.

With your support, MDNtv will continue standing in courtrooms across South Africa,
reporting with integrity and compassion.

Together we honour survivors. Together we strengthen accountability. Together we help
build a safer future
