In June,July and August our charitable foundation Mamu unija had provided

(EUR 142,105) (USD 161,147) aid for children suffering from oncological diseases. The foundation had purchased non-covered drugs and has provided nursing care items, had compensated travel, treatment, living and other expenses.

The foundation had allocated a sum of EUR 2,527 (USD 2,866) for families' trips to and from hospitals.

We had also provided social support for families in need raising a child suffering from an oncological disease. This support is granted in order to reduce essential expenses of living when one child falls ill with oncological disease and one of the parents becomes unemployed. This support is intended for food, trips to and from a hospital, to support other children in the family, to acquire hygiene, cleaning and other items, clothing and footwear, to attend to the needs of an ill child at home, etc. This type of support had already been granted to the families of Justinas, Erminas, Emilis, Viktorija and Joris – EUR 21,756 (USD 24,671) in total.

Laurynas, Domas and Maksimilijinas had been provided with further treatment abroad. We had compensated their treatment, nursing care and living expenses in Switzerland. Over the period of three months Maksimilijanas, Domas, Laurynas and AIste each flew to Switzerland for treatment twice. A sum of EUR 19,109 (USD 21,670) had been allocated to cover their travel and treatment expenses.

"We keep changing the bedsheets non-stop. After the bone marrow transplantation diarrhea persists“, "it hurts to even look at the mounth - it is full of mouth sores", "wet wipes would be a great help" - these are only a small part of requests we get from childrens' moms. Over the period of three months we had granted support to children for nursing care means: mouth sore medicine - 28, diapers 94 pcs., wet wipes – 68 , blankets 278 pcs. Other hygiene items (creams, shower gel, shampoos) - 16 dispensed in total.

Over this period we had congratulated 55 children on their birthdays and had organised 15 events "Goodbye Hair" - all of which had been attended by childrens' dream fairies wishing children to get well soon and fight their illness with their biggest smile. All children received their dream gifts.

Our fund had implemented the initiative to perform major repairs in accordance with the latest standards on three rooms in Vilnius Santariškes clinic, Department of Oncohematology of VU Children's Hospital. These twin rooms are equipped with oxygen and emergency systems. Childrens' beds are separated by a partition. Each room is equipped with a separate kitchen area with a fridge. These rooms are also equipped with a modern air-conditioning system and a separate shower. The room repair value is EUR 100,000 (USD 111,000).

We had also organised events for children that are held each Wednesday in Vilnius Santariškes clinic and each Thursday in LSMU Kaunas clinic (Hospital of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Kauno klinikos). We had organised over 25 events on average over the period of three months. During these events children had an opportunity to meet the world's strongest man Zydrunas Savickas who inspired children and their moms to fight illness and never give up. Also children had a chance to meet the NATO officers. The little ones were also entertained by a magician's tricks, therapy water and sand drawing sessions, applied fake tatoos, built LEGO robots which, when later connected to power units, could move and walk. These are only a few of events that we had organised in order to help children be etertained, learn and improve.

We are sincerely grateful to all Global Living donors who had contributed to the support by allocating EUR 455 (USD 516 ).

We wish our little troopers and their families to never give up and overcome their illness as quickly as possible!
