During the months of September, October, and November we made visits to the hospital each week to interact with children with cancer. We provided medical supplies, bought non-compensated medicine for Ausrine, provided funds for Gabrielius and Adomas’ treatment abroad. We organized therapeutic workshops for children with cancer and their parents. Altogether during the three months we donated 15000 LTL for the treatment, care, and wellbeing of children with cancer. On November 18th, we initiated fundraising efforts for 17-year-old, Kotryna, who needs to be treated in Israel. Her treatment will cost 103 000 LTL.
Our organization is continuing care of two little boys, Gabrielius and Adomas, who have cancer (Retinoblastoma) and are being treated in Switzerland. For Gabrielius’ treatment and travels during the three months we contributed 6000 LTL, and for Adomas we contributed 4000 LTL. Both boys’ wellbeing is improving, however they are still in need of further travels (which are very expensive) to get check-ups for their eyes.
In addition, we have assisted Ausrine, whose supplies for hair growth cost 600 LTL.
We provided hygiene supplies, diapers (~50 packs), wet cloths (~50 items), shampoo (~10 items), colored adhesive bandages with pictures on them (100 packages), anti-fungal mouthwashes (~10 items), waterproof blankets (10 packs) for approximately 3000 LTL.
We are in particularly concerned with children from orphanages, as well as well as families under social assistance. We provide them with medical supplies as well as clothing items.
Additionally, this fall we took some harvested items to the hospital, such as big bags of apples, tomatoes, and cabbage.
This fall every week we organized therapeutic workshops on the oncology wing for the children and their parents. It is important for us to care for the children as well as their mothers’ wellbeing. We have noticed that when the mother is feeling strong, it eases their children’s track to recovery. Thus far, we have organized 7 workshops for children and their parents: sound therapy, plaster workshops, kaleidoscope building workshop, watercolor therapy, sand therapy, dream catcher building, and art therapy. For all workshops we spent 1500 LTL.
A hearty thank you for your support. Together we can alleviate the struggle of our little ones with cancer!
