ADCI/VOCA is planning to train 50 young Liberian farmers, both men and women between the ages of 16 and 35, in cocoa and oil palm farming that will generate income while showing communities that economic opportunity can be achieved by conserving the Liberian rain forests. The farmers as well as their families and communities will benefit from these trainings. The trainings will promote new farming techniques which discourage farmers from engaging in harmful farming practices such as shifting cultivation.
ACDI/VOCA has no activities to report on currently as we are continuing our fundraising campaign and hope to begin activities in the near future.
