Help La Reserva Grow Forests, Costa Rica

At La Reserva 2010 has been a busy year. Over 12,000 trees have been planted and a whole host of new projects are in the works - the most exciting being the work we’re doing to help the native Maleku regain some of their ancestral lands so they can be reforested. We’ve established a relationship with our first corporate sponsor who are creating a campaign that will allow us to plant 35,00 trees in 2011. We’re confidant this will be the first of many relationships in which companies who want to reduce their carbon footprint will chose to work with us to plant more trees

The hundreds of hours that have gone into these projects are primarily done in our small office - we’ve pushed the bed in our second bedroom to the wall to create space in this 8‘x10‘ room for a desk and small file cabinet. It’s where our newly purchased second-hand iMac computer sits, and we’re so very grateful for the donations that made that purchase possible.

We would love to be able to update some of our other equipment as well. Each change we make in having better equipment makes our work more efficient - and working more efficiently ultimately means getting more trees planted. So this year we’d love it if you would make a gift donation to this project so that we can continue to do the work that will bring healing to our Mother Earth.
