Dear Donor,
Countless benefits come from SHC-Galveston’s delivery of consistent therapeutic art activities. The individual and group activities implemented weekly positively impact patients and their caregivers during a time when their lives have been altered beyond our comprehension.
Since beginning this project with GlobalGiving over a year ago, SHC-Galveston’s Child Life Department has served more than 200 critically burned children through these activities. Our children and their families have created art pieces that express pain, joy, strength and love and, through every art experience, these children have shown true depth of character that we only see displayed by those who have lived through life-altering experiences. The pictures below tell their own stories and we are honored to share them with you. This is our last report from the field for this project as we move forward to other program needs for SHC-Galveston. Please know that we appreciate your support. Don’t forget to like us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/GalvestonSHC and stay in touch with us at http://www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org/Locations/galveston.
