When we helped Cassandra escape abuse with her son Logan and return to the USA, Cassandra's abusive husband tried to force her to take Logan back to the Phillipines. Her husband had thrown Logan against a wall, would slap him and scream at him when he cried, locked them in the house for days without food and had beaten Cassandra many times.
Cassandra was terrified of what her abusive husband would do to Logan if she was forced to return him. We hired an attorney for Cassandra who was able to win her custody of Logan in the USA due to the abuse that her abusive husband had inflicted on Logan.
They are living happily with Cassandra's father and step mother. Here is a note from Cassandra:
"Logan is so happy. He used to be afraid of loud noises and men. Now he loves everyone. You saved our lives and I will be forever thankful."
Because of support from donors like you, we were able to help Cassandra & Logan.
Thank you so much from the AODVC team!
