Powerful Love!

By Rebecca Nakigozi | Couselor

You are lifting us up like this!
You are lifting us up like this!

You are a great parent to the world’s children!

I am filled  with great joy and excitement to say hullo to you! It’s not someone else that is making me excited but it is you!  Do you know why? You are helping me, CHEDRA and Bugabira primary school  to accomplish our mission. ’To improve on the quality of life of indigent people affected by social and economic problems such as HIV and AIDS, poverty, food insecurity, injustices and natural calamities through working with the local community focusing on Health, Empowerment, Development and Relief’.

Together with your support, we have received  more donations  to set up  a poultry project . The project   will host at first 250 chicken but with time the number of birds will definitely increase. Its planed that  after the sale of eggs,  profits will go towards helping needy children at school. The school supports a number of children , many of whom  are orphaned by HIV  and   they struggle to find not only  school fees but also scholastic materials.  This has been good for children like Julius of grade 6  who has no parent.  The project will also  be used as  demonstration farm to teach children practical poultry keeping. This will not only  help children  to pass national examinations but will also  equip them with skills to prepare  them for the future.

Some of the products from the poultry farm will be used   to enhance the  nutrition of children. In fact, this is s well though project that will  have multiple benefits. In fact, the school has agreed to begin a sponsorship program for children that cannot afford school fees by giving them some work to do at heir free time on the poultry  farm so that this can be converted into school fees. Two boys have been selected to be the first beneficiaries, Julius and Dabrine. We want to pilot this method to see if it works both for the children  and the success of the project. Right now, we are at  the initial  stage,  are finishing  to put up the  poultry  house and within the next two months, we  hope to have birds in there. Stay tuned for more exciting news.

You are one of our great donors ! We love and cherish your name. Thank you many times  for your donations through Global Giving.
