It’s been just over 12 months since we launched our op-shop enterprise, and were absolutely overwhelmed by the generous support of Australians far and wide. With your support, we’ve managed to:
But we’re not shutting our doors. Far from it! Please feel free to drop in and say hello: we are one of the first buildings on the left when you drive into Jilkminggan. Along with our opshop, you’ll find us sewing, painting, cooking johnnycakes and experimenting with new techniques.
Not in the neighbourhood? Then please follow us on Facebook, where we regularly post updates on our progress. We sometimes post artworks for sale, too!
Are you interested in donating clothes? We’d still love to receive them! These are turned into valuable revenue for our Art Centre, and enable community members to learn about retail and business along the way. There are specific items that are really suitable for our climate and culture, so please drop us a line at: jilkcommunityaboriginalcorp@gmail.com to find out what’s good to send, and how to deliver.
Thank you for all of your wonderful support. Be sure to check out Enterprise Learning Project’s Global Giving page to find out about other budding enterprises.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
If you donate to this project or have donated to this project, you can receive an email when this project posts a report. You can also subscribe for reports without donating.
