Using Oils to Treat Patients

Dear Friends,

As we told you in our last report, the healer at the monastery recently treated 4 patients with mild to severe lung infections. All patients were healed in 7-14 days, depending on the severity of the infection.

In the last report we shared with you the first essential oil recipe that the healer used to treat these infections. The second recipe included 3 parts niaouli (melaleuca quinquenervia cineol), 2 parts ravintsara (cinnamomum camphora) and 2 parts rosemary verbenon (rosmarinus officinalis verbenon).

Both this recipe and the one shared in the previous report were administered orally and inhaled. When ingesting the mixture, mix 2-3 drops of the essential oil mixture with approximately ½ a teaspoon of vegetable oil and take this 2-3 times a day, at least 20 minutes before or after a meal. Alternately, the oil mixture could be added to a bit of honey or placed on to a small piece of bread to be ingested.

When the patient ingests the mixture, they are instructed to hold it under their tongue for at least 5 minutes, where blood vessels can pick up the mixture and carry the oils throughout the body. If the oil is swallowed too soon, it may not be as effective (unless you are treating the stomach!). To apply topically, you must dilute the oil to avoid any rash on sensitive skin.

The recipes mentioned in the last two reports from a book by Dominique Baudoux: "L'aromathérapie. Se soigner par les huiles essentielles" Editions Amyris SPRL, Collection Douce Alternative, Bruxelles, BELGIUM. 2002

As always, we thank you so much for your generous support of our efforts to provide essential oils to the monks at the Menri Monastery. Your support is what keeps this program going! Thank you!
