With Issue 23 Homeless Diamonds continues to expand its reach, and thanks to a big effort by our volunteer designer you can now see all the recent issues on-line for the first time: http://homelessdiamonds.org.uk/. Older issues are still available on the Saison Poetry Library website: www.poetrymagazines.org.uk.
Homeless Diamonds enriches communication and understanding within St Mungo’s Broadway and with the wider community. Being published is empowering in itself, but just as importantly it engages individuals with a group enterprise.
We want contributors to participate in all aspects of producing the magazine, and thanks to the generosity of our Global Giving donors we now have an up-to-date computer and InDesign programme, shared with the Recovery College and Employment teams, where interested residents can practice and develop their IT skills in computer design and magazine production.
Thanks to all our donors – we are excited by the opportunities you have opened up, and we’ll keep you posted. And please enjoy reading issue 23 - it includes the poem Homeless Diamonds by Hicham Bensassi, selected as the Saison Poetry Library Poem of the Week in March 2014.
