50 households in Guatemala have been provided with the training, tools, and seeds needed to plant their own gardens. Identified as families at high risk for malnutrition, the households benefiting from your donations have the chance to grow healthy food and mitigate their food insecurity.
Rather than depending on outside sources for access to nutritious food, these families have the chance to learn about nutrition and organic gardening – and the most active participants in this project are women providing for their children.
Thanks to support from donors like you, we can curb malnutrition by empowering communities with the education and supplies to grow their own food.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
