Dear Friends,
Thank you for your support in 2014! So many of you have helped to fund a number of scholarships to four private schools in Afghanistan, and on December 17 one of these schools received top honors from the Ministry of Education in the province of Herat, Afghanistan.
The Appreciation Letter Reads:
We are honoring you for your outstanding efforts… for offering exceptional educational services, having qualified teachers and excellent equipment in a good environment. You are paying great attention to expanding students’ level of knowledge. The education department of Herat City offers this letter to you in appreciation for your extraordinary services. We wish you greater success in the future.
Of all of the schools in Herat Province, only four were chosen for this honor. At the ceremony where this honor was given, a government official said “Professor Sakena Yacoobi (the founder of the school) is not only providing the people with the best educational services through her high schools, but she is also providing great educational services for thousands of people yearly through AIL. I, on behalf of the President of Afghanistan and the minister of education, appreciate the services which are being provided by this honorable and hardworking lady, Professor Sakena Yacoobi and her staff.”
Thank you for supporting our efforts to provide scholarship students so that they may attend such a high quality institution. Your support is helping to change lives. Thank you.
